It's been four years in the making but this week, Ben Howard returned to the world with his new track: A Boat To An Island on the Wall.
With the new track came news of a new album: Noonday Dream, out June 1st.
Ben Howard's music is on surfer mx tapes world wide, but holds special reverence for cold water surfers thanks to his Devon roots and affiliation with Ireland. The new album itself was recorded at The m studio overlooking the river Foy, running west country roots ever deeper through.
Like his project with Mickey Smith, A Blaze of Feather, the new track carries a heavy atmosphere that swells like a building wave - simultaneously gentle and overpowering. A European tour is set to follow, including a session at The Eden Project, but for now we're just happy to have new BH on the playlist and more on the horizon.
A set well worth waiting for.
